Nokia goes trendy with L'Amour Collection

The Finnish firm has just introduced three flashy handsets aimed at the fashionable crowd.
After having introduced the trendy 7200 mobile series earlier this year, Nokia continues to push the envelope in phone designs with yet another trio of fashion handsets under the L'Amour Collection.
According to Nokia, the new phones (candy-bar 7360, swivel 7370 and thumbdrive-shaped 7380) are designed to bring out the contrasts between various cultural and ethnic influences. Non-traditional materials including amber, ceramic, turquoise, silk and enamel were used in the development and design process, while craft techniques such as enamelling and etching were adopted to add creative touches to the handsets.
"Every detail of these products, from the nature-inspired graphics to the velvet-lined pouches, has been carefully considered with the style-conscious individual in mind," said Alastair Curtis, vice president of Design at Nokia's Mobile Phones division, in a press release. He believes "consumers who appreciate design and attention to detail will fall in love with the L'Amour Collection".
Of the three new phones, the most eye-catching is the Nokia 7380 which looks somewhat similar to the iPod shuffle with its circular navigation dial. The sleek handset adopts a keyless design, so messaging on the phone will definitely be a challenge for many. That said, the 7380 does offer premium features including a 2-megapixel camera, MP3 player, video streaming as well as a unique mirror surface function (in idle mode).
For those who prefer a keypad on their phones, the Nokia 7370 offers a broad range of mobile features including a 1.3-megapixel camera, 2-inch QVGA screen, 3D sound effects and video ringtones. Basic users can also opt for the candy-bar 7360 which sports an FM tuner, VGA camera and MP3 ringtones
